3. What size range do your steel buildings come in?

Our custom building kits and steel roofing systems can be designed in a large range of sizes – from 10’ wide storage sheds to airplane hangars, and everything in between – we engineer to your specifications and needs. If you decide you want to expand the length of your building at a later date, you can do so simply by adding more arches.

4. What can steel building kits be used for?

Steel building kits can serve as a solution for a huge variety of building uses. Our structures are often used for garages and workshops, barns and riding arenas, carports and roofing systems…and more! The unique truss-less design of our buildings gives them a clear span interior – allowing you uninhibited interior room for whatever you want to use your building for.

5. Can a steel building be insulated?

Yes – our steel buildings and also roofing systems can be insulated! Our buildings work well across different climates since they are made from Galvalume PlusTM steel, allowing for coolness during summer and heat retention in winter, but adding a building insulation systems like our Pin and Cap insulation package can be a great way to eliminate condensation if it’s a concern, as well as help keep energy costs low, and ensure a quieter environment.

6. What maintenance is needed for a steel building?

Unlike buildings made from wood or brick, a steel building requires virtually no maintenance or winterizing to retain its long-standing durability, and steel structures are naturally resistant to rot, pests and fire.

7. Do I need a permit to install a steel building?

Permit requirements vary by jurisdiction. We would advise you to contact your local building authority to determine your local regulations. All of our buildings and roof structure are designed to comply with state/provincial & federal design code requirements, and  a set of  wet sealed engineered drawings are received before the building to help you obtain these.

8. How DIY do I need to be to install my building kit?

Our basic building kits are designed to be DIY-friendly for the average person, with overlapping arches and panels arriving precut and punched so no welding is needed. Most of our customers are able to install their basic steel building kit with the help of a few good friends, a cordless drill, and a couple of days. If you get stuck simply give our technical support team a call at 1-800-387-2343 – we’re committed to providing assistance and expert insight every step of the way.

9. Are your steel buildings moveable?

Future Buildings steel building kits are most often intended to be used as permanent structures by our customers since they are long-lasting but can alternatively be designed to be used as non-permanent, easily relocated structures. Depending on the regulations in your area, your building department may or may not designate a relocatable building as “temporary” – this often varies by jurisdiction.

10. Can I see a ballpark price?

Because our buildings are not mass-produced, they are not priced with a blanket one-size-fits-all cost. We believe that each customer should only pay for the building made the way they want, designed for their local code requirements and the gauge of steel they need. With so many potential variables we proudly offer our customers “True Pricing” to ensure each person is given a free quote that matches their exact project.
