3 Unique Uses of Steel Buildings

S-Model-Project-8We realize that our customers all have different, specific needs. However, we don’t see these needs as a challenge or a hassle, we see them as an exciting opportunity to see how our products can function effectively for different people. Being in business for over 40 years, we have had many customers who really went outside the box when it came to the function and finish of their steel building. Here are a few of our favorites.

Guest House

We have had some pretty creative customers in the past, including one who decided to install a steel building to turn into a guest house/in-law suite for family visits. Their family now gets to stay in an amazing suite complete with high-end finishes such as stainless steel appliances, pot lights, hardwood floors, a skylight and French doors. We were so happy when the customer sent us pictures of our functional structure turned into a beautiful residence.

Man Cave

Every guy needs their own space, or “man cave,” right? Well one customer created his man cave from scratch, completely outside of his home. The client originally wanted a building to house his workshop and tools, but once he discovered how cost effective our steel buildings are, he decided he would go with a larger one that he originally intended. His workshop was large but fit comfortably in the building. He completed it with custom storage, workbenches and a wall full of tools, organized exactly how he wanted it. With his work oasis complete to perfection, he decided to use the leftover space to create a recreational heaven. His space is finished with the luxury of a fireplace, comfy seating, a television and a mini fridge! What more could you ask for?

Steel “Barn”

We always love to see what types of finishes our customers choose for their steel buildings. One customer wanted a steel building to use as a barn on his farm. As you can imagine, this is not uncommon for us at all. However, the customer decided to finish it to look like a traditional red barn with white trim. The barn was even complete with a Dutch door, finished in white trim as well. The end result was a steel building that was as functional as it was beautiful.
